There are many things I love in this place we call our Mother, the Earth...I love the precious water that flows - the rivers, the oceans, the mountain streams....water is precious to me, as it is Sacred to all Cherokee. The water renews and refreshes and gives life to all of us.
Without this precious water, nothing would live.
In these mountains where I make my home, the waters sing and bring peace to my soul. In these waters, I am renewed and refreshed and with these waters, my life is given and blessed.
Look at all the beauty that surrounds us....I see it and hear it and it fills my heart and spirit with such joy. The sound of the roaring falls. The cold, clean, fresh waters that caresses my skin, the smell of life that flows from it.
The fluttering wings of the butterflys. Watching as they flit from flower to flower or gently cross our path...their variety of color of many hues and shades.
The beauty of the dove, its song a gentle coo, so soothing to the spirit. Reminding us of the purity in all life.
The beauty of the birds as they fly across the golden sun.
The gift of seeing a buck close to the clear waters.
The symbol of the buffalo brings us peace and hope.
I hope the sounds, the sights and the words have brought you a moment of happiness and peace. It reminds me of the joys in life. May it be the same with you.
I hope you will return to travel along a path I wish to create, one of beauty, hope, peace and always, friendship.
